The Old Owens Cricket Club contingent for the 2011 Tour to Norfolk from the 29-31 May consisted of a party of 37 personal that included players, wives, girlfriends and siblings. The whole party stayed at ‘The Old Brewery House’ in the Market Square, Reepham, Norfolk opposite the Kings Head pub, which is run by Peter Salisbury a former Dame Alice Owens School PE Teacher and is handily placed for staggering back to the hotel each evening.

(5 mins. drive from the Hotel) whose president Jim Everton is a former Old Owens Cricket legend and Great Witchingham C.C. (East Anglian Premier League side approx. 40 mins. drive from the Hotel).

In the evenings an inquest was held in the Kings Arms Pub during dinner and drinks to discuss the match that day and to administer fines for any misdemeanours during the game, which was very ably performed by the committee of Andy Battersby and Shaun Flook to every one’s merriment.
Sincere thanks to Mark Mckinstry for doing a great job in organising yet another fantastic Tour, that was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
