Old Owen's Association and Sports Club Limited

  About Us

Old Owen’s Association (OOA) was established for the past pupils of Dame Alice Owen’s School. This was at a time when the school was still based in Islington, and the Old Owen’s Sports Club and Ground was based in Chandos Avenue, Whetstone, N20.

The aim of the Association is to provide facilities to its members (i.e. Old Boys and Girls of Dame Alice Owen’s School) and a means for them to stay in touch and to meet up. Within this website you will find details of all the social events and sporting activities provided by Old Owen’s Association and Sports Club Limited, along with photo galleries, information about the Association and its history, as well as any latest news.

Following the School’s move to Potters Bar, the Old Owen’s Association moved from Whetstone in 1988 to it’s current home at Coopers Lane, (Northaw), Potters Bar, Herts., EN6 4NF. The Association bought the ground and a clubhouse was built, along with a bungalow for a groundsman or manager to live in.

The ground covers some three acres and provides facilities for Football and Cricket for Old Owen’s Association members i.e. Old Owen’s Cricket Club, Old Owen’s Football Club and for the local community i.e. Potters Bar Town Football Club and a number of other associated clubs.

The Old Owen’s Association was incorporated as a Charitable company on the 16th June 2014 and gained registered Charitable Status (no. 1159777) on the 5th January 2015 and is now known as Old Owen’s Association and Sports Club Limited (OOASC Limited).
