I graduated from the University of Kent in 2009 with an Honours Degree in Sports Therapy and stayed on for an extra year to complete a Masters Degree in Advanced Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation.
Since graduation I have worked for a variety of different sports clubs and private clinics, gaining a wealth of experience in treating sporting injuries. Along with my clinical work I work part time at Brentford FC Academy working with the U9-U16 age groups, as well as working at Hertford RFC as part of the medical team for the 1st
and 2nd team squads.
I have a keen interest in most sports and play regularly for Old Owens Cricket Club during the summer, and specialise in low back pain and lower limb rehabilitation.
I have gained years of experience working with clients from all sports, and have treated a wide range of different conditions at different sporting levels. I specialise in the assessment and treatment of sports injuries (see below) and my aim is to return my clients to full functional fitness in the fastest possible recovery time.

Congratulations to Mike Sibley on winning an OSCA award for ‘Behind the Scenes’ from the Hertfordshire Cricket League.

Hertfordshire Cricket held its OSCAs celebration event on Tuesday 9th September to reward it’s volunteers for all the work that they put in supporting cricket in the county.The event, held at Essex County Cricket Club’s LV County Championship fixture with Kent was attended by 40 people and included a buffet lunch and tea as well as day out at the cricket.
NatWest OSCAs aim to reward the contribution that these volunteers make to the game. We welcome nominations for volunteers from the traditional cricketing environments (clubs, leagues, boards) but in addition to this, we would like to recognise volunteers from emerging environments such as Higher and Further Education, Community Programmes, Workplaces and Recreational Park Leagues.
Hertfordshire’s nominations came in 6 of the 7 categories, Behind the Scenes, Leagues and Boards,
Lifetime Achiever & Officiating: Umpires and Scorers, Building Partnerships and Young Volunteer
Our winners (who will attend the national OSCAs event at Lords on Monday 6th October) were: –

Joint Football Day at Old Owen’s Sports Ground

All parents friends and family of pupils playing in School football teams are invited to join us at Old Owen’s Sports Ground, Coopers Lane on Saturday 4th October from 9am onwards.
Not only will parents be able to watch the School games vs Parmiter’s School, they will also be eligible to become Social members of the Old Owen’s Association.
Membership benefits include Club priced drinks (10% discount on drinks if a member) in beautiful rural surroundings, priority social bookings for family events and the opportunity to become active members of football and cricket teams based at The Coopers Lane Ground.
There is a full programme of competitive football events on 4th October. The year 8,9 and 10 school games v Parmiter’s start at 9.30am and then the school Under 18 A and B Elevens play Old Owen’s sides at Midday, with three other Old Owen’s FC Southern Amateur League games kicking off at 3pm.
Entry is FREE with an ‘All Day’ barbecue and of course refreshments from the Clubhouse.

OLD OWENS VETS SEASON 2015-2016
OLD OWEN’S VETS matches for the season 2015-16 commenced on the 6th September 2015.
The Vets having been crowned Champions in the Mid Herts Vets League last year have joined the BARNET Sunday Veterans League this Season.
The Vets started with a resounding 6-0 win away to the London Turkish Masters Legends at Wadham Lodge with goals from Steve Thorwell 3, Anthony Mann 2 & Paul Saroya (Chief), even though some of the players looked very rusty,.

OLD OWENS VETS SEASON 2013-2014
OLD OWEN’S VETS matches for the season 2013-14 commenced on the 8th September. The Vets will again be playing in Division 1 of the Mid Herts Vets League which comprises of 10 teams.
If anyone is interested in playing for the Vets, all games are played on a Sunday morning, kicking off at 10.30 am and you must be OVER 35 years of age. Please contact Neil Martin on 07778 298891 or email.
The Vets completed their League season last Sunday (13/04/2014) with a 3-0 win away to Sandridge Vets with goal by S.Rothberg 2 & P.Saroya with a penalty.
The Vets won the Mid-Herts League with a playing record of 17 wins and a draw in their 18 games.
WELL DONE TO THE CHAMPIONS and to all the PLAYERS and SUPPORTERS involved during the season.

OLD OWENS VETS SEASON 2010-2011
OLD OWEN’S FOOTBALL VETS fixtures in 2010 -11 consisted of games in Division 1 of the Mid Herts Vets Leagueand Friendlies. There are 10 teams in the League and the Vets were due to play a total of 18 games in the League and 12 Friendlies but some fixtures were cancelled due to the weather and sides being unable to field teams.
The Vets eventually played 22 games of which 7 were won, 6 lost, 9 drawn, 41 goals scored and 48 conceded.
Top Goalscorer was DEREK HENRY with 11 goals.
